As a nutritional therapist, my aim is to understand the underlying imbalance that is triggering your IBS symptoms to that we can put in place a nutritional plan to address these.
There are many possible causes of IBS including…
- Imbalances of gut bacteria
- Intestinal parasites
- Low stomach acid
- Insufficient digestive enzymes
- Food Intolerances
- Bile acid malabsorption
- Yeast overgrowth
- H Pylouri
- Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO)
Through taking a thorough history and when indicated using an appropriate functional test I would aim to identify the imbalances that are relevant to you and put a plan in place to manage these imbalances and to resolve your symptoms.
